8 Days Kathmandu Pokhara Chitwan Tour Overview

Kathmandu Pokhara Chitwan is one of the best day tours in Nepal. On this day’s tour, the trekkers visit Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan, three of the major tourist destinations in Nepal.  The tour begins by visiting several essential Kathmandu sites recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. First, we go to Pashupatinath Temple, where people worship the Hindu god Lord Shiva.

Next, we visit Boudhanath and Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple, with the world’s largest stupas adorned with prayer flags and spinning wheels. We also explore the ancient palaces of Bhaktapur, Patan, and Basantapur, part of the Durbar Squares. These areas highlight the region’s rich culture through beautiful stone and wood carvings on pagoda-style temples and other buildings. These sites show the religious harmony and cultural heritage of Kathmandu.

After exploring Kathmandu, we will leave for Pokhara, where we will explore many amazing places like Fewa Lake, Davis Falls, Mahendra Cave, and others. Once completing Pokhara, we will head towards Chitwan. After a long drive towards Chitwan, we will reach the resort and rest there. We will enjoy the Chitwan Jungle Safari the next day and then continue exploring Chitwan for a few more days before returning to Kathmandu.

Some of the historical tourist sites you will visit in Kathmandu in this tour package are Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swyambhunath, and three Durbar squares. When you go to Pokhara, you will visit different cultural places like Barahai Temple, Rupa Lake, Fewa Lake, Bindabasini Temple, etc, which are historically and culturally important. In Pokhara, tourists can engage with different castes like Magars, Gurungs, etc., and one of the popular cultural programs is the Tharu cultural dance, which often happens in the temple of Fewa Lake.

The Chitwan National Park tour takes the trekkers to explore one of the largest jungles of Nepal. This fantastic cultural place is at southwestern Nepal and spreads across 2238 sq kilometers, as it towers 70m above sea level. Other than learning about the incredible wildlife in Chitwan, the tourists also learn about the historical and cultural significance of Chitwan. You can take a jeep or elephant safari to see many wild animals, including the Royal Bengal tiger, one-horned rhinoceros, spotted deer, wild elephants, marsh crocodiles, wild boars, sloth bears, and various deer species, such as barking deer.

Best Months to Explore Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan

Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan Tour of Nepal is one of the most enjoyable tours in Nepal. However, to not ruin the enjoyment of the tour, the tourists must book it in the ideal condition. The best time for booking this tour is three seasons: Spring, Autumn, and Winter.

Spring and Autumn

Spring and autumn are the two best times for any kind of tour and trek in Nepal, including the Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan tours. During these two seasons, the landscapes turn green with blooming flowers, creating a lovely tourist backdrop. The weather is clear, and the temperature ranges around 20°C to 30°C making it comfortable for touring the Terai region.

Winter

In winter, the air gets crisp from late December to February, and the snow-capped mountains sparkle like diamonds. From June to August, the warm sun and monsoon rains bring the lush vegetation to life in summer and the rainy season. The colorful gardens, terraced hills, and lively culture make you feel like you’re in some type of movie.

Dates & Prices

Our fixed departure dates and per-person pricing make it simple for both solo travelers and small groups to join the adventure. It’s a great chance to meet new people and share the experience with other trekkers. Just choose your preferred date, and we’ll take care of the rest.
