Prasant Gurung is a professional trekking guide from the beautiful Ganesh Himal Ruby Valley region in the northern Dhading district of Nepal. Born in a traditional Gurung community surrounded by the Himalayas, he developed a deep connection with mountains, nature, and local culture from an early age.
He completed five years of Pharmacy studies and earned his pharmacy license. Because of his medical knowledge and experience, Action Nepal Treks worked with him many times as an assistant medical doctor to help ensure clients’ safety during trekking trips.
Later, he completed his trekking guide training and received his official trekking guide license from Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management. Today, he leads trekking groups mainly in the Annapurna, Manaslu, Langtang, Everest, and Ruby Valley regions.
