Ek Tamang is a professional and experienced trekking guide with more than 12 years of experience in Nepal’s Himalayan tourism industry. He was born in the beautiful Ganesh Himal Ruby Valley region of northern Dhading district, within the Tamang community, where his love for the mountains and nature began from an early age.
He started his trekking journey in 2015 as a porter and spent nearly three years working across different Himalayan regions of Nepal. During this time, he gained deep knowledge about Nepal’s mountains, culture, traditions, and local lifestyles, while also improving his English and communication skills with international travelers.
In 2018, he received his official Trekking Guide License from the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM). Since then, he has successfully led many groups in famous trekking regions such as Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, Kanchenjunga, and Makalu.
