I went on the Kanchenjunga-Circuit end of September 26. It takes two full days just to get to the trailhead, and from there several days more until one has his first full view of the big mountains. What makes this trail unique and absolutely worth the effort is that this area is not frequently visited. You can hike in solitude for days and have dinner around the kitchen fire with your hosts. Dhan, my guide, did everything that I felt comfortable. When the weather turned bad, he knew when to turn around. Simbir, the owner, gave me a professional briefing and stayed in contact with us throughout the trek. Also, he helped greatly to plan my ongoing trip in Nepal. I can highly recommend to join one of their treks!

If you are looking for a trip that includes culture, beautiful and immersive landscapes and a good hard challenge, then the Nar Phu Valley Trek is the perfect choice for you! It was an amazing 10 day journey through Tibetan style villages and monastery’s. Every day was around 6-7 hours walking and every corner turned out to be beautiful and very diverse. Make sure to to take your time each day bc I the altitude, don’t worry you will have enough time for exploring later on. My personal highlights were Himlung base camp, Satek Monastery and the Kang La Pass (5300 m)!!! A big shoutout to ,Action Nepal Treks‘ who made the experience so much better. They took care of everything including transportation and housing. They were also always reachable in case I needed help and acted in my best interest. You can trust them that your health and safety is their top priority. Also I want to say many thanks to my Guide Dorje who made it an even more amazing experience. He explained and told me so much about the culture and living style of the people of Nar Phu Valley and I learned so much. He was always there for me and I trusted him 100%. When I didn’t feel too well bc of the altitude he made sure I was good and then proceeded to motivate me to keep going. If you are going to Nar Phu Valley my mero dai is the best choice. A little tip: On the acclimation day in Phu Village do the trek to Himlung Himal base camp🤫 I rate the experience 10/10 and Action Nepal Treks was a great choice.

Rick led us through the first few days and immediately created a great atmosphere. With his positive, relaxed attitude and great sense of humor, he fit perfectly with the group and made the start of the trek incredibly enjoyable. For the rest of the trek, Umesh took over seamlessly and continued in exactly the same spirit. He was always in a great mood, attentive, and ready with a joke. Simbir and all of the guides and porters did an absolutely incredible job in making me feel safe and mentally ready for the Annapurna trek. Simbir picked me up at the airport and was incredibly kind, making me feel instantly welcome. Each day, he would tell our group what to expect in terms of terrain and how much water we should have. I was much slower than the rest of the people in my group, and even though Simbir was one of the lead guides, he would come back often to make sure I was doing okay which I really appreciated.
